Andy is a “battle-scarred” consultant with over 20 years experience, practising in programme and project management; and benefits management and realisation. He has extensive international exposure having worked for many years in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Belgium and the Netherlands.
He has demonstrated the ability to focus senior management attention on strategic thinking and resolving key risks and problems. Before working with Indigo, Andy spent 10 years with PwC and 5 years with Morgan Stanley.
During his career Andy has undertaken assignments in a wide variety of industries and business functional areas, giving him a very broad base of project and programme experience. This has included:
- Establishing a structure to strategically manage project portfolios
- Developing Project Management Guidelines (short methodology designed for all to use) including web-based support and templates, and promotional materials and aides
- Introducing Benefit Management principles and tools to a £1.9B programme
- Advising on the best way to use MS Project, including Project 2002 Web Server as a global solution
- Establishing and running Project Offices
- Delivering project management training in Europe and Asia
- Coaching and mentoring Project Managers, and related project team members, addressing career management and development needs
- Converting “fire-fighters” to “project managers”
He is an experienced leader who motivates teams and those around him, whilst enjoying being part of a cohesive unit. His practised communication skills mean he is comfortable with press and TV interviews, and allows him to liaise effectively at staff, management and board levels.
